Pack Weight Logger Live

Stop obsessing over ounces and start tracking the items that actually matter. Pack Weight Logger is a specialized utility for backpackers and thru-hikers who want to stop carrying "dead weight." Most hikers buy expensive ultralight gear but continue to pack heavy items they never use out of habit. This app turns your packing list into a powerful learning tool by helping you identify exactly what is essential and what is just extra baggage. The Mechanics: Weigh, Pack, Review Transform your gear management from guesswork into a data-driven strategy: Pre-Trip Logging: Before you head out, create a complete list of every item and its weight. Calculate your Total Weight, Base Weight, and Consumables with precision. The Post-Trip Audit: When you return, mark every item as "Used" or "Unused." This is the critical step most planners miss—reviewing the reality of your hike. Identify Patterns: Over multiple trips, the app highlights items that consistently go unused. If you haven’t touched that extra heavy layer in three trips, it’s time to leave it at home. Configuration Comparison: Compare your pack setups across different seasons and trip types to find the perfect balance for every environment. Your Pack, Your Data No generic advice or community trends—just the facts about how you hike: No Gear Databases: We don't provide generic weights. You weigh your own gear for 100% accuracy. Focus on Essentials: This app is a personal pack journal, not a recommendation engine. It doesn't tell you what to buy; it shows you what to leave behind. Zero Clutter: No gear reviews, no social sharing, and no ads. Just a clean interface for hikers who value efficiency and results. Why Use Pack Weight Logger? Lighten Your Load: Discover the "luxury" items that aren't actually adding value to your trip. Refine Your Routine: Move away from "just in case" packing and toward a lean, functional gear list. Personal Accountability: Stop claiming a base weight you don't actually carry. Get the real numbers based on every single item in your bag. Minimalist UI: A simple, high-contrast interface designed for quick data entry before and after your excursions. App Features Trip-by-Trip Archive: Store and review your packing history to see how your gear choices have evolved. Usage Analytics: Instantly see the percentage of your pack that went unused on your last adventure. Manual Hub: A private, secure environment for your personal gear data. Every ounce is a choice.
