SpeedMap: Wi-Fi by room

A speed test gives you one number for your whole home. But the couch and the back bedroom are different places — and that is exactly where Wi-Fi goes wrong. SpeedMap measures where you are standing. Walk to a spot, name it ("kitchen", "office", "back bedroom") and run a test. Every reading is saved to that spot, so after a few laps of the house you have a ranked map of your home instead of a single number. The weak corners name themselves. WHAT YOU GET • Speed test per room: download, upload, latency and jitter, finished in about twelve seconds on any connection — slow or gigabit. • Live signal mode: watch your Wi-Fi strength change as you walk around. Signal doesn't depend on how busy the internet is, so it's the steadiest way to compare rooms. • Wi-Fi details with every reading: signal strength, 2.4 / 5 / 6 GHz band and link speed. • Mesh and extender aware: see which access point ("node") your phone used in each room — often the real reason a room is slow. (Optional; Android requires location permission for this.) • Ranked map: rooms sorted by signal or by speed, with best, worst and range for each one, and dead spots recorded separately. • One-tap retest of any saved room, and smart name matching so "bed room" and "Bedroom" stay one spot. • Export your readings as JSON.
