orbiTome: Events with Friends

Share events, not your life. Want to see your friends, and the whole evening goes into twenty messages about where to meet? Drop a pin on the map, pick an emoji and a time, invite whoever you want. Just long enough to decide where and when: nothing else. INVITE EVEN PEOPLE WITHOUT THE APP Every event has a link. Whoever gets it sees the place, the time and a countdown in a browser, with nothing to install. They know where and when, and decide whether to get the app to confirm. ON THE MAP, NOT IN THE CHAT Open the map and you see the events created by your contacts: drinks in your neighbourhood, dinner on Saturday, a game tonight. Filter by today, this week or this month. THREE STEPS, THEN YOU'RE OUT What: an emoji, the pin on the map, a title if you feel like it. When: now, in an hour, tonight, tomorrow night or a date. Who: pick from your contacts, one by one or by group. WHO'S COMING AND WHO ISN'T Two answers, no maybes: "I'll be there" and "I can't make it". You see who confirmed before you leave, and when you arrive the app records your check-in. THREE GAMES FOR THE NIGHT From an event or from the map you start a round, with only the contacts you invite, up to twelve. Icebreaker bingo: nine things to find out about the others, with no score. Photo hunt: the shots from everyone who was there stay in the event, not in your gallery. Find the pin: a hunt for a hidden spot with hot-or-cold hints; a player's location is only used to work out the hint. WHEN IT'S NOT A PLAN YET Turn on "Wish" and float something you'll only do if someone's in. With no date it sits there for a week; with a date it's that gig on Friday. As soon as someone answers, you confirm it and it becomes a real event. ORBITOME PLUS, IF YOU NEED IT Everything above stays free. With Plus, on top: on Wishes and scheduled events you set a decide-by date, ask for a minimum headcount and nudge whoever hasn't replied; you duplicate an event that's still on; you go up to 30 photos and videos per event, 20 events and 10 Wishes at once. Monthly or yearly, cancel whenever you want. CALENDAR AND REMINDERS Add the event to your phone calendar with one tap and get a notification an hour before. If notifications get heavy, mute the app for 8 hours, 24 hours or until tomorrow. THE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS FROM THE NIGHT STAY ON YOUR PHONE Once the event has started you can add photos and videos. They stay in the app's private folder, they are not uploaded anywhere and nobody else sees them: the memory is yours alone. YOUR EVENTS, IN ORDER In your list, what's coming next sits on top and past events below. You search them by title, place, emoji or by the name of whoever created them. ONLY THE PEOPLE YOU KNOW You see people's events only if they're in your contacts: no public profiles, no feed, no strangers. The numbers of contacts who don't use orbiTome never leave your phone. With Ghost Mode your event stays visible only to the groups you choose. You can block a contact and report an event at any time. THE MAP SHOWS EVENTS, NOT PEOPLE Your location is used to create an event, to search for a place and to record your check-in when you arrive: it isn't shared continuously and nobody follows your movements. EPHEMERAL BY DESIGN Events don't stay forever: once the meetup has passed they disappear from our servers. Your history stays on your phone and you delete it whenever you want. With the encrypted backup you export it to a protected file. NO ADS orbiTome shows no ads. The app is free, with an optional subscription.
