Orbit Multi Media Player

Orbit Media Player — local-first audio and video for Android. The way media players used to be. A native player for the videos and music already on your device. One-time $4.99. No subscriptions. No ads. No analytics. No login. The entire app, every feature, forever. WHAT IT PLAYS • Video: MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV, WebM, and more via the modern Media3 engine. • Audio: MP3, M4A, FLAC, OGG, WAV, AAC, Opus, and more. • Hardware-accelerated decoding for 4K where your device supports it. VIDEO PLAYER • Hold-to-scrub the timeline. • Brightness and volume swipe gestures. • Double-tap to seek. • Real picture-in-picture with aspect-ratio detection. • Five aspect modes including zoom-to-fill. • In-video bookmarks you can jump back to. • External SRT, ASS, and VTT subtitles with size and timing offset. • Auto-play next file in folder. MUSIC PLAYER • Rotating album art with a progress ring. • Animated visualizer. • Synced lyrics from .lrc sidecar files. • Queue editor with drag-to-reorder. • Sleep timer that survives backgrounding — your phone stops playing when it should, not when the OS decides. • Playlists, favorites, playback history, resume positions. REAL 5-BAND EQUALIZER Built on Android's system audio chain. Bass boost, virtualizer, OEM presets. Plus a louder-than-100% volume boost via Android's LoudnessEnhancer. FOUR HAND-CRAFTED THEMES • Obsidian — deep purple, Material You ready. • Crimson Night — black with ruby highlights. • Nebula — purple and pink neon glow. • Aurora — navy and amber, low-light friendly. Every screen restyles when you switch — buttons, cards, gradients, accents. YOUR LIBRARY SURVIVES FILE MOVES Favorites, history, bookmarks are tied to MediaStore identifiers, not file paths. Rename a folder or move a file — your data survives. DIRECT-URL DOWNLOADER Paste a link to an MP4, MP3, or FLAC. Resumable. Wi-Fi-only option. Files land in your standard Music or Movies folders. Orbit does NOT extract from YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, or similar services. Those rotate URLs and require login tokens; building extractors for them would violate their Terms of Service and Google Play policy, and any app that claims to do it gets removed. PLAYS IN THE BACKGROUND Music keeps playing when you switch apps, lock the screen, or unplug. Hardware play/pause buttons on Bluetooth headphones work. MediaSession ready for Android Auto. WHAT'S NOT IN ORBIT • No advertising SDK. • No analytics. No crash reporter. No telemetry. • No user account. No login. No cloud sync. • No in-app purchases. No premium upgrade. No subscription. • Your library, history, and settings never leave your phone. WHY ONE-TIME $4.99 Ads in a media player interrupt the one thing you came to do. We charge you once and never need your attention again. The $4.99 you pay is the entire business model. ANDROID VERSIONS Android 7.0 (Nougat) and newer — roughly 98% of in-market Android devices. PERMISSIONS • READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, READ_MEDIA_AUDIO — to list and play your files. • FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK — to keep music playing in the background. • POST_NOTIFICATIONS — for the lockscreen playback controls. • INTERNET — used only by the Downloader for URLs you explicitly paste. • BLUETOOTH_CONNECT — to respond to hardware play/pause buttons.
