Opixo Player turns an Android TV, tablet or phone into a managed digital signage screen. It is built for businesses that already use Opixo Studio to design and schedule their content — retail stores, showrooms, clinics, offices, hotels, airports and campuses that need a screen to show the right thing, all day, without anyone attending to it. HOW IT WORKS Install the app and open it. The screen shows a six-digit pairing code. In Opixo Studio on a computer, go to Players, choose Connect screen, and enter that code. From then on the screen belongs to your account: assign it a playlist, press Publish, and the content appears within about thirty seconds. There is no account to create on the device, and nothing to type on it. Pairing happens once. BUILT FOR SCREENS NOBODY IS WATCHING Content is cached on the device, so a screen keeps playing through an internet outage and picks up changes automatically when the connection returns. The app starts itself when the device powers on, so a power cut does not leave a blank screen. If the page it is rendering fails, it recovers on its own. Images, video, and live widgets are supported — clocks, weather, news, and data-driven layouts that update from your own sources. SCREEN USAGE REPORTING The app reports, hour by hour, whether the screen was on, whether Opixo was the app in front, and whether it had internet. Owners can see in Opixo Studio which of their screens are actually showing their content and which have been switched to something else — useful when the screens are in another building, another city, or another state. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO No advertising, and no ads SDK. Nothing is sold or shared with data brokers. The app does not collect names, contacts, location, or payment details. It does not read your personal files. A screen's data is removed when you remove that screen in Opixo Studio. DIAGNOSTICS A hidden settings panel shows pairing details, app version, and screen-usage figures for on-site troubleshooting. On a TV, open it with the remote: left, left, right, right, up, up, down, down. REQUIREMENTS An Opixo Studio account is required — this app is the screen half of that product and does nothing on its own.
