Opentally Mindful App Log

You reach for Instagram without deciding to. Fifteen minutes later you wonder what happened. Opentally is a manual tally counter for the apps you open too often. Nothing runs in the background and nothing is detected for you - that is the point. Opening Opentally first and tapping Log puts a deliberate pause between the impulse and the scroll. Setting up an app takes a few taps: name, emoji icon, daily launch limit and one of six accent colours. Quick presets fill in Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, Twitter / X, Games or Web browser for you. Each time you log a launch you can attach a note about your mental state. Six one-tap chips cover the usual suspects - Boredom loop, Routine check, Procrastination, Distracted study/work, Actual emergency/need, Quick answer/info - or type your own. In a hurry, Quick Log (+1) records the launch with no note at all. On the dashboard: • Mindfulness Index - today's launches against the combined daily limit of every app you track, as a percentage with a plain-language status • A seven-day bar chart of total launches, today highlighted • Your last logged launch, its time and its note • One card per app reading
