Full description
On Guard is real-time defense against explicit and sexualized content. Detection runs entirely on your phone. Private by design. Screenshots are checked in memory, then discarded. Trusted apps like your bank and your mail are never scanned. Detect. An on-device model checks your screen for explicit and sexualized content across apps and the web. Known explicit sites are stopped before they load. Step in. When On Guard detects explicit content, a plain warning goes in front of it. No lecture. No shame. Nudge. When a feed drifts toward suggestive content, a nudge tells you. Tap Move on and you are back at the app's home feed. Pick how firm your guard is, from Light to Extremely strict. Blocks stay just as precise at every level. Real accountability. If adult content is opened on your phone, one of your allies may get a check-in text with the app, the device and the time. Never the site. If your phone goes quiet for a week, you hear first, then an ally hears too. Opt-in, always. Stay On Guard. Accessibility Service disclosure On Guard uses Android's AccessibilityService API. It is the core of the app. On Guard is not an accessibility tool for people with disabilities and does not claim to be. With your consent, the AccessibilityService lets On Guard: Read your screen. It takes screenshots of your screen automatically while defense is on, and an on-device model checks them for explicit and sexualized content. It reads the web address in your browser, from the address bar or from a text box in the browser when the address bar cannot be read, so known explicit sites can be stopped before they load. It reads where pictures and videos sit on a browser page (their place only, not the words), so the model checks them first. It reads the name of the app in use, to skip apps it trusts and to name the app in your ally's text. Act on your screen. When you open a known explicit site, it sends your browser to a block page by entering the block page's address in the address bar, or by opening the block page in the same browser. When it finds explicit content in an app, it warns you over that app, full screen when Android allows it. When it sees suggestive content, it shows a notification; tapping "Move on" closes that notification and the notification panel, and in a supported social media app it also takes you to that app's home feed. When you turn on Full Vision, it draws a live view over other apps: for ten minutes, a thin outline, a word and a frame count show where On Guard looked and what it saw. It shows on your screen only and is never saved or sent. Full Vision is off unless you turn it on. How this data is used: detection runs on your phone, in memory. Screenshots are discarded as soon as they are checked. When a screenshot makes On Guard warn you, it keeps that one screenshot in memory on your phone for up to 15 minutes, so you can choose to send it if you think the warning was a mistake. Then it is discarded. Screenshots are never sold or shared. On Guard keeps no list of the sites you visit. The block page's web address carries the flagged site's name so it can load. If you tap "Think this is a mistake?" on the block page, we receive that site's name with your account, so we can review it. If you open a known adult site in your browser, your ally gets a short text with the app, the device and the time. Never the site. A screenshot goes to On Guard only if you tap "Send this screenshot" after "Think this is a mistake?". That one image, with the outline and detection scores, is linked to your account and deleted after 90 days. You turn this on yourself and can turn it off in Android Settings, under Accessibility. If you do, your allies with the On Guard app get an alert. Foreground service disclosure On Guard runs a foreground service so defense stays active while you use other apps. A persistent notification, "Your defense is running.", shows while defense is on.

What's new

Settings shows one action for subscriptions: start your trial, fix a payment problem, or manage your plan. If you have never subscribed, a short banner offers the trial. Restore purchases tells you what it found, and a subscription moved from another account unlocks here without waiting for the next renewal. Small fixes.
