Full description
Most reminder apps ask once. You swipe the notification away, and the task is gone from your day — and from your head. One Step is the opposite: a nagging reminder that repeats until you actually start. It is built for anyone who procrastinates, and for ADHD brains that know exactly what needs doing but can't make themselves begin. A REMINDER THAT REPEATS UNTIL IT'S DONE Set a time, and One Step does not remind you once. The reminder comes back after 2 minutes, then 5, 9, 14 and 20 — a little harder to ignore each time. It stops when you tap Start, not when you swipe it away. Want more pressure? The Alarm setting keeps nagging for a full hour. Choose how hard it pushes (Gentle, Firm or Alarm) and how it sounds: your notification sound, your alarm tone, or vibrate only. Quiet hours are always respected. Can't do it now? "Not today" moves the task to the same time tomorrow. It never just disappears. ONE SCREEN, ONE STEP, ONE BUTTON A to-do list with fourteen tasks means fourteen decisions, and the decision is where procrastination wins. So the home screen shows exactly one thing: the next small step, and a button to start it. Late tasks say "was due 14:00" — never "3 hours overdue" — and move an hour with one tap. There is no scolding here. IT BREAKS THE TASK DOWN FOR YOU Type one line — "pay the electricity bill" — and One Step turns it into small steps: find the amount, open the banking app, pay it, save the receipt. Ready-made breakdowns cover more than forty kinds of tasks: bills, laundry, cooking, the bins, appointments, trips, job applications, presentations, email, calls, paperwork, cleaning, studying and more. For anything else, it asks one question — what would you physically do first? — and builds from your answer. Edit any step, change the minutes, add your own. ADD A TASK IN SECONDS • Say it instead of typing it. Voice works offline, on your phone (Android 12 and newer). • Share text from WhatsApp, Chrome or any app straight into One Step. • Add the "Add a task" tile to Quick Settings and capture from anywhere. A FOCUS TIMER YOU CAN SEE Start a step and time becomes visible: a ring that empties, blocks that go out one by one, and the digits. The countdown lives in your notification shade, so it keeps running with the app closed or the phone locked. When time is up you get a real alert, and a small celebration when you finish. WILL YOUR REMINDERS ARRIVE? Some phones put apps to sleep and hold reminders back. The Reminder check shows what is blocking yours, opens the right setting, and sends a test reminder so you can hear it for yourself. A LOG, NOT A SCORE The Done tab lists what you actually did, plus totals that can only go up. No charts, no percentages, no streaks to break. Nothing here can point downwards. YOUR TASKS STAY ON YOUR PHONE No account. No sign-up. No cloud. Your tasks never leave your device, and the app works with no connection. Moving to a new phone? Back up to a file and restore it there. Text size and high contrast options are in Settings. One Step is free and supported by a single banner ad on the Tasks, Done and Settings screens — never on the screen you are working from. WHO IT'S FOR People with ADHD. Students avoiding a deadline. Anyone fighting procrastination on bills, calls and paperwork. If a task reminder has ever been swiped away and forgotten, One Step was made for you. — One Step is a persistent reminder, to-do list and focus timer designed around how ADHD brains work. It is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition.
