Roots: Offline Homestead Live

Your whole homestead — library, know-how, AI — works with the bars at zero. Roots puts a 575-book self-sufficiency library, an on-device AI that answers with real citations, camera ID for plants, creatures and mushrooms, and 31 homesteading tools in your pocket. It all runs on your device after a one-time download. No account, no ads, no tracking. Built for the back forty, the barn, or the cabin off the grid. ASK ANYTHING, GET CITED ANSWERS When do I start tomatoes? How much do I feed laying hens? How do I treat mites in a hive? Ask by voice or text and get a straight answer built ONLY from real homesteading, gardening, canning and livestock books, with tap-able citations to the exact pages. It knows your frost date, animals and recent harvests. English & Spanish. A LIBRARY FROM WHEN THIS WAS ORDINARY Every one is public domain or a US government work, checked before each release with the source recorded per book. Most were written when a smallholding had no electricity and no store to run to, which is why they still work: The Dollar Hen on laying flocks, Comstock's How to Keep Bees, Practical Angora Goat Raising. Alongside them sit federal and Navy trade manuals for the things nobody writes about any more — fencing, barns, wells, concrete, wiring an outbuilding. POINT THE CAMERA — ID IN SECONDS • Plant ID — name what's growing in your beds and pasture. • Creature ID — identify critters with clear venomous / hazard warnings. • Mushroom ID — on-device fungus identification with safety cautions. • Diagnose a Plant — snap the sick leaf, get likely causes and fixes. • Use My Harvest — say what you picked, get ways to cook and preserve it. YOUR FLOCK & HERD My Animals keeps a record for every bird and beast — breed, age, photo, notes. Log a breeding or set eggs and the due or hatch date fills itself in per species. Record a treatment and Roots warns you in the Egg Log before you eat or sell during the withdrawal period. Link feed, vet bills and sales to an animal to see whether she pays for herself. Beekeepers get a hive log. SEED TO HARVEST Plantings follows every crop from sowing to pull-out — variety, bed, transplant date — and rolls harvest totals up per planting, so next winter you know which tomato actually produced. 31 HOMESTEAD TOOLS Planting Calendar · Canning Guide + altitude Timer · Succession Planner · Companion Planting · Crop Guides · Chicken Feed · Brooder & Incubation with candling light · Livestock Health · Seed & Row Guide · Fermentation Brine · Recipe Vault · Foraging Calendar · Compost · Rainwater · Gestation · Soil Amendment · Firewood · Bed Planner · Spray Mixes · Sun & Shade Mapper · Moon Phase · Day Length · level, ruler, protractor and magnifier.
