Octafest: Film Festival Guide

Octafest helps you plan a film festival: browse the programme, pick your screenings and keep your plan in one place. Right now the app has the programme of Scanorama – European Film Forum in Lithuania. Octafest is made for more than one festival, so the festivals on offer can change over time. PLAN YOUR FESTIVAL • Browse the latest published programme by recommendations, sections and genres. • Pick your city to see the films and screenings shown there. • Search by title, original title or director. DISCOVER THE FILMS • Read film descriptions and browse photos and stills. • Get to know the directors and cast, with biographies where the festival provides them. • Watch trailers in the app when the festival supplies a supported link. KEEP YOUR PLAN • Save favourite films and mark the screenings you want to attend. • Ticket buttons open the ticket provider's website outside the app. When you return, Octafest asks whether you bought a ticket; answering yes saves the screening on your device. Octafest does not sell tickets, take payments or verify purchases. • Choose optional reminders a day before, two hours before or at a custom time. They are scheduled on your phone, so battery optimisation can delay them slightly. Notification permission is only requested when you pick a reminder. • If the programme changes, saved screening times update and reminders for removed screenings are switched off. GOOD TO KNOW • Octafest is a programme guide; it does not stream films. • The app interface is available in English and Lithuanian only. Film information appears in the languages the festival publishes. • Recently viewed programme content and images are kept on your device, so they may open without a connection. Loading new content needs the internet. • Three battery usage levels (Low, Medium and Max) adjust the animations. Max steps down to Medium when your battery is below 50%, and motion pauses with Battery Saver or Remove animations. PRIVACY No sign-in, no accounts and no in-app purchases. Octafest has no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. Your saved favourites, screenings, reminders and settings stay on your device. Optional anonymous usage analytics are off by default and can be turned on or off at any time in Settings. When on, the app sends action types (such as opening a film, adding it to favourites or marking a screening) with public programme content IDs to Octafest's own server, which passes them to Plausible for aggregated counts. Your saved lists are not uploaded, and no account, persistent visitor or device identifier, search text or name is sent. Programme and image requests use HTTPS and may be logged by the servers that deliver them, as described in the privacy policy.
