When a pattern calls for a yarn you do not have, we help with yarn substitution. HOW IT WORKS Find patterns for your yarn. Add your yarn, and we find knitting patterns that suit it. See if you have enough yarn for your size. We measure your yarn stash against the pattern's yarn usage in your size, so you know how much yarn you need before you cast on. Find substitute yarn. We suggest alternatives and explain the similarities and differences. WHAT CAN I KNIT WITH MY LEFTOVER YARN? Nysta shows you. You add your yarn, and we find the patterns you can knit with the leftover yarn you already have. If you have several leftovers, we suggest combinations that work together, and we work out how much yarn a given pattern needs and whether you have enough. DO I HAVE ENOUGH YARN FOR A PARTICULAR PATTERN? You choose a knitting pattern, and Nysta reads its yarn requirement and checks it against your yarn stash. We show how much yarn you already have, what you are missing, and which yarns from your own stash or well-known yarn lines can be used as alternatives. WHAT CAN I SUBSTITUTE A YARN WITH? Nysta makes yarn substitution easier. We find similar yarns and show how well they match. We assess gauge, fibre, spinning and construction to help you find a substitute that suits your project, and we explain the differences so you know what you are getting. WHICH YARNS DO YOU COVER? A large international yarn catalogue. If your yarn is missing, you can add it yourself. WHAT DOES IT COST? A monthly or yearly subscription, priced in your own currency in Google Play.
