The WCP mobile app complements the Welsh Clinical Portal secondary-care application, which is used by hospital staff in providing care to over 370,000 patients each month across Wales. Its primary original purpose was to notify new pathology, radiology and other results for patients added to your watchlist, and also allow patients to be located within secondary care locations.

What's new

WCP Mobile 2026.1 Update: • Performance: Upgraded to new framework, fixing major app crashes. • Search: Real-time filtering for tests and documents. • Safety: Added deceased patient indicators and FCP status flags. • Security: Smoother PIN validation and biometric sign-offs. • Tools: updated built-in barcode scanner and live push notifications. • UI: Dynamic navigation bar and dark mode fixes.
