Full description
Qufl keeps distracting apps closed until you have read some Quran. Choose which apps to lock — social, video, games, anything — and set how much reading opens them. Open a locked app before you have read, and Qufl covers it with a verse and the reading you have left. Read it, and the app opens. ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE: WHAT QUFL USES IT FOR Qufl uses the AccessibilityService API, but only if you switch it on. It does one thing: it tells Qufl which app has just opened, so that if it is one you chose to lock, the lock screen appears at once rather than a moment later. • It reads only the name of the app that opened. It does not read your messages, what you type or what is on your screen. • Nothing is collected, stored off the phone or shared with anyone. • It never changes your settings, and never stops you from switching it off or uninstalling Qufl. Android's Settings app can never be locked. • It is optional and off until you choose. Before Android's own switch appears, Qufl explains all of this and asks you to agree. Without it, Qufl still works through Usage access, with a short delay. EARNED TIME IS A BUDGET, NOT A COUNTDOWN Time you earn is spent only while you are actually inside a locked app. Put the phone down, carry on reading, or use anything else, and it stops. Whatever is left is cleared at midnight, so time cannot pile up. THE WHOLE QURAN, OFFLINE All 114 surahs and 6,236 verses, Arabic with English translation, search, bookmarks and recitation. Nothing about your reading leaves your phone. KEEPS YOU GOING A streak for meeting your daily goal, today's verses, and an estimate of hasanat at ten per letter read. IF YOU REALLY NEED IT One emergency unlock a day, five minutes, no questions. FREE, AND PLUS Locking apps and reading Quran are free, for good. No adverts, no account, no analytics. Qufl Plus, an optional subscription, adds: • Three more unlock rules — read by the minute, unlock the whole day, or bank a minute of apps for every minute read • Active hours, so locks apply only between hours you choose • The home-screen widget • The full journey: month calendar, best streak, progress toward a khatm and lifetime hasanat • Backup and restore: save everything you have read to a file you keep, and read it back on a new phone Cancel and nothing is lost: every verse is still counted, and your figures come back if Plus does. PERMISSIONS, AND WHY • Usage access — to see which app is in front, so a locked one can be covered • Display over other apps — to show the lock screen over it • Notifications — status, the warning before apps lock, and Pause blocking • Accessibility service (optional) — to see a locked app the moment it opens, as described above; the app works without it IN ENGLISH OR ARABIC The whole app, not just the Quran: choose العربية on the first screen and the interface mirrors, right to left, with Arabic numerals throughout. The Quran text is the Tanzil Uthmani edition; the translation is Pickthall.
