Full description
Which one is bigger: a giraffe or the Tower of Pisa? What about a bearded dragon next to a can of Pringles? You will probably get it wrong. The real size of things is almost never what we picture, and that is exactly what Size It Up puts to the test. HOW IT WORKS Every challenge has 5 rounds. Each round shows two silhouettes. The blue one is the reference and it is always drawn at true scale: that is your ruler. The coral one is the target, and your job is to give it the size you believe is right. Drag the handle, pinch with two fingers or use the size buttons. When you are convinced, lock in your guess. The game reveals the true measurement, puts both silhouettes side by side and turns the gap into points. Being off by up to 6% still scores a perfect 100. Five perfect rounds add up to 500. Easy to understand on your first try, hard to master. THREE MODES, 180 CHALLENGES Everyday: 123 challenges with objects, animals and things you see all the time. A can, a dog, a bicycle, a door. Pop Culture: 36 challenges with film, games and iconic characters. World Scale: 21 challenges with landmarks, nature and enormous places. Bridges, towers, mountains, huge animals. That is 900 rounds and 567 vector silhouettes to compare. WHAT YOU GET Plays offline: every challenge ships inside the app. No waiting for a connection, no extra download. No sign-up and no login: no account, no email, no password. Open it and play. Five languages: English, Portuguese, French, Spanish and German, with numbers, measurements and dates in each local format. Full archive: go back to any earlier challenge, or ask for a random one whenever you just want to practise. Interactive tutorial: learn in a minute with the game's own silhouettes, before the first round counts. Portrait or landscape: rotate the device and the board reframes itself, keeping your round, your score and your guess in progress. Achievements: personal best, average score, perfect rounds and total challenges played, all stored on your device. Resume a game: had to leave in the middle? Save it and come back exactly where you stopped. Second chance: when a guess lands badly, the game can offer another attempt before the correct scale is revealed. WHY IT STICKS This is not a trivia quiz. It is visual perception training. You start off wildly wrong, notice that you overestimate small things and underestimate huge ones, and within days you start estimating with an accuracy that felt impossible at first. It makes a good logic game for a queue, a bus ride or a five minute break. Each challenge is quick, but the urge to beat your own record does not go away. WHO IT IS FOR For anyone who enjoys a daily puzzle, trivia, brain games and anything about comparing, measuring and estimating sizes. If you are the type who argues about whether that animal is bigger than a car, this game was built for you. HOW SCORING WORKS The error is relative, measured on the dimension being compared, either height or length. Up to 6% off and you nail the full 100 points. Past that the score falls smoothly, with no hard steps, and while the error stays under 160% a round never drops to zero. The maximum per challenge is 500. EXAMPLES FROM THE GAME A bearded dragon against a can of Pringles. A giraffe against the Tower of Pisa. Comparisons that look obvious right up to the moment you have to get the measurement right on screen. IMPORTANT DETAILS The game is free and supported by ads. Watching one rewarded video unlocks every mode for 24 straight hours. If no ad can be served, access is granted anyway: nobody gets locked out for being offline. There are no in-app purchases and no advantage for spending. Everyone plays the same challenge. Progress, personal best, language and preferences stay on your device. Android 8.0 or newer, on phones and tablets. Ready to find out whether your eye is any good?
