Full description
Mitra is a companion for quiet reflection on the Dharma, offered freely in Sinhala and English. Speak or type a question about the teachings, or about what is on your mind, and Mitra answers in a spoken voice synthesized from recorded Dhamma talks of Venerable Mettananda Thero, so his teaching voice can reach further — including those who cannot read. Replies keep playing with the screen off or the app in the background, with full lock-screen playback controls, so listening does not require holding the phone. Mitra also carries a full offline library you can browse without a network connection: - 547 Jataka tales - Summaries of 3,800+ suttas - A Pali and Abhidhamma glossary, bilingual in Sinhala and English An optional daily reminder, off by default, offers a single quiet notification at a time you choose — no streaks, no pressure, easy to turn off. This app carries no advertising, no analytics beyond what keeps the app working, and no in-app purchases. It asks nothing of you. Please treat this app, and the tradition it draws from, with the same care you would bring to a temple visit.
