Nerts is solitaire turned into a race. Everyone plays at the same time, nobody waits for a turn, and the whole hand is over in a couple of frantic minutes. Also known as Nertz, Pounce, or Racing Demon. HOW IT PLAYS - You get your own 52-card deck with your own card back. - Build up the shared aces in the middle of the table - first hand there wins the spot. - Stack your work piles down in alternating colors, just like classic solitaire. - Empty your 13-card Nerts pile and call it. The hand ends instantly for everyone. SCORING +1 for every card you send to the center. -2 for every card left in your Nerts pile. Play to 100 or set your own target.
