Full description
Hours worked × your hourly rate, in seconds! Enter clock-in, clock-out and break to get the hours you actually worked. Add your hourly rate to get those hours × your rate. Handles overnight shifts and decimal hours (7 hr 30 min = 7.50). Note: the amount is only hourly rate × hours worked, with no overtime, night or holiday premium, tax or social insurance. ────────── ⇥ Work Hours Calculator — hours worked, and hours × your rate Enter when you clocked in, when you clocked out and how long your break was, and you get the hours you actually worked — in hours and minutes, and in decimal. Add your hourly rate and you also get hours × rate. ■ Hours × your hourly rate You type in the hourly rate yourself (leave it empty and no amount is shown). It works from the exact minutes (minutes ÷ 60 × rate), not the rounded decimal. The amount has no currency sign and shows two decimal places; "about" appears only when it was rounded. At 15 an hour for 8 hr 40 min, the amount is 130.00. At 11 an hour, it is about 95.33. The amount is only rate × hours. It includes no overtime, night or holiday premium, and no tax, social insurance or travel costs. Which hours count as overtime, night or holiday work is set by law and can change, so the app leaves those out. ■ Two directions Hours worked — in, out and break give the hours worked, the decimal, and the full span (plus the amount if you add a rate) When to clock out — in, target hours and break give the finishing time Tap a category chip to switch between them. ■ 7 hr 30 min is not 7.30 hours It is 7.50. And 0.30 of an hour is only 18 minutes. This is the mistake decimal hours invite on a timesheet or an invoice. The app shows both forms at once, so you catch it before you copy it down. ■ Clock arithmetic borrows in sixties 18:40 − 09:15 is 9 hr 25 min, not 9.25. In decimal that is about 9.42 hours. ■ Overnight shifts work too Clock in at 22:00, out at 06:30, and a straight subtraction gives a negative number. When clocking out comes before clocking in, 24 hours is added to it first. 22:00 to 06:30 is 8 hr 30 min; take a 60 min break off and the hours worked are 7 hr 30 min. ■ Working backwards is the everyday one It answers "how late do I have to stay today". In at 09:00 for 8 hr 00 min with a 60 min break gives 18:00. Starting a night shift at 22:00 gives 07:00 next day. Any answer that lands on another date says so, so there is nothing to misread. ■ Minutes that do not divide evenly are marked "about" 10 min → about 0.17, 15 min → 0.25, 20 min → about 0.33, 30 min → 0.50, 40 min → about 0.67, 45 min → 0.75, 50 min → about 0.83, 60 min → 1.00. Rounded values carry the word "about", so you know what you are writing down. ■ How to enter a day Type numbers: hours from 0 to 23, minutes from 0 to 59, and the break in minutes. Common patterns are on buttons. 09:00 → 18:00 08:30 → 17:00 09:15 → 18:40 22:00 → 06:30 09:00 + 8 hr 00 min 10:20 + 7 hr 45 min 08:30 + 7 hr 45 min 22:00 + 8 hr 00 min ■ Things worth knowing (included in the app) ▪ 7 hr 30 min is 7.50 hours, not 7.30 ▪ Clock arithmetic borrows in sixties: 18:40 − 09:15 is 9 hr 25 min ▪ The span from in to out is not the hours worked; the break comes off ▪ Across midnight, 24 hours goes onto the clock-out time first ▪ Some minutes divide evenly by 60 and some do not ■ How the app is built ▪ A single screen. No settings page ▪ Your last five entries, rate included, are kept and can be tapped to restore ▪ The result copies with one tap, note included ▪ Japanese and English, following your device language ▪ No account needed. Every calculation stays on your device and the times and rate you type are never sent anywhere ────────── Note: it does not check your hours against labor law. There is no clock-in button, no attendance records, no roster and no leave tracking. It does not add days together or total a month; it handles one day at a time.

What's new

• Enter an hourly rate to see your hours multiplied by it (no overtime or other premiums, and before tax and deductions) • Shorter wait at startup when the app skips the ad, such as on first launch • The icon background is now easier to see on white screens
