otolog: Voice Diary & Journal

otolog is a voice diary and voice journal that writes itself. Tap Start once and your phone becomes an AI voice recorder that listens all day, records only when someone is speaking, and transcribes every conversation with on-device AI. Read your day back like a journal, search what was said, and hand transcripts to your AI app for meeting notes or a summary. Recording and transcription have no time or count limits, with no subscription required. Transcription runs on your device, so there are no minutes to count. WHO IT IS FOR • You want a voice journal or life log, but never find time to write • You want to remember what was said in meetings, classes and daily talks • You record meetings and want writing the minutes to be easier • You do not want to hand recordings to a cloud service AI VOICE RECORDER • Listens all day, records only when someone speaks Nothing is saved while it is quiet, so listening all day does not fill your phone. Recording starts just before the first words, so the beginning is not cut off. • Speech to text with on-device AI Speech recognition AI on your device transcribes each conversation. Audio is not sent over the internet, and it works offline. • Labels who said what Register your voice and each line is marked "Me" or "Other". • Tap a line to play, fix mistakes on the spot Tap a line to play from that moment. Recording and transcription stay unlimited without a subscription. • Back up your diary to a place you choose, such as Google Drive, and restore it on a new phone • Daily export to a folder as Markdown, for note apps that read folders • Daily export to Notion YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE • App lock: open your diary only with your fingerprint, face or screen lock. Listening continues while locked • Audio, transcripts and location are stored only on your device • The app never sends audio or transcripts to our servers • They leave the device only when you pass them to an AI or another app, use "View on PC", or set up export or backup yourself • Old audio is deleted automatically by retention period or storage limit. You can delete all data at any time • No ads. Only usage statistics such as which features are used, and crash reports, are sent (you can turn these off in Settings) WHILE LISTENING To notice voices, the microphone stays in use while listening. A notification and the microphone indicator at the top of the screen are always shown. You can pause or stop from the notification at any time. Listening starts only when you tap Start. PLEASE NOTE • The voices of people around you are recorded too. Please let them know, and pause in places where recording is not allowed • This app is for your own records. Do not use it to secretly record or monitor other people • On first use, the transcription data (about 230 MB for languages other than Japanese) is downloaded from Google Play. Wi-Fi is recommended • Long listening sessions use battery.
