NightSafe: Night Walk Light

A brighter signal for your next night walk. NightSafe combines a flashing phone screen with the rear flashlight on supported phones. Hold the phone where its screen and rear light are visible while you stay aware of traffic. Use it when walking after dark or crossing a two-way street at a safe crossing. CHOOSE HOW TO START • Start: alternate the screen and controls between red and blue with synchronized flashlight pulses, without recording video or audio. • Start with Camera Recording: use the same red/blue lights and capture video with audio on your device. • SOS: flash the screen red with the flashlight in an SOS pattern while keeping your current recording choice. From idle, SOS starts lights only. It does not call emergency services. SEE WHAT IS RECORDING Compatible phones can record the front and rear cameras together. When that configuration is unavailable, NightSafe tries one camera, preferring the rear, and tells you which camera is active. Compact portrait previews, a recording indicator and a timer keep capture visible without covering the light signal. Dual-camera support depends on your phone's camera hardware and video configuration. KEEP RECORDINGS ON YOUR PHONE Dual capture saves two separate videos. Audio is included once, in the rear video or in the front video when it is the only active camera. NightSafe does not upload your recordings. On Android 10 and later, find them in Movies/NightSafe-Recordings. Open Recorded videos from the three-dot menu to see each clip's local date and time and optional approximate location. Play a clip, delete it after confirmation, or open its saved coordinates in your chosen map app. On Android 7–9, they are in the app's external Movies folder and should be copied before uninstalling. A recording may help you review a road incident or hit-and-run if the event was actually captured. Camera angle, darkness, movement and hardware affect what is visible; faces, number plates and incident evidence are not guaranteed. SIMPLE WHILE YOU WALK • Maximum brightness within the app while active. • Keeps the screen awake during an active session. • Stop to finish and save; double Back to stop, save and exit. • Leaving the app or manually locking the phone stops capture. • English and Arabic, with a first-run guide and Help menu. • What’s New explains the latest features at startup. Choose Don’t show again to hide it for this update, or reopen it from the three-dot menu. • Camera and microphone access requested for recording. Approximate location is optional and stays in the local video list. Camera access also enables the torch; screen flashing remains available if you decline it. NightSafe shows two Google AdMob banner ads while idle. Optional coffee purchases use Google Play Billing. Any completed one-time coffee purchase removes both banner ads on this installation, and each coffee remains available for repeat purchases after Google Play finishes processing it. No subscription. Ad removal is local and is not restored after uninstalling or clearing app data. NightSafe is a visibility aid, not a guarantee of safety.
