Full description
I couldn't find a prayer app I trusted. So I built one. I tried a dozen. Gambling ads between Quran pages. GPS data sold to US military-linked brokers. A $35/year paywall before I could even see prayer times. I wanted one thing — know when to pray, with respect. nida is the app I built instead. —— WHAT NIDA DOES ◆ Accurate prayer times — Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, calculated on your device. Offline. No server. No account. ◆ Athan that actually fires — on-time notification, every prayer, even in background. No ad interruption. Ever. ◆ Qibla compass — direction to Mecca, always available offline. ◆ Fiqh transparency — choose your calculation method (ISNA, MWL, Umm al-Qura, Diyanet...) and understand why it exists. Asr: Shafi'i or Hanafi — you choose, we explain. ◆ Mosque offset — adjust prayer times per-prayer to match your local mosque. No other app offers this. ◆ 100% offline — no account required. Nothing leaves your phone. —— WHAT NIDA DOESN'T DO ✗ No ads — ever, anywhere, including your prayer screen ✗ No feature bloat — prayer times, athan, qibla. That's it. ✗ No tracking, no analytics, no data collection ✗ No shame notifications ("you missed 3 prayers") ✗ No paywall — prayer times are free. Forever. —— WHY NIDA IS DIFFERENT In 2020, Muslim Pro sold location data of 100M+ Muslims to US military-linked brokers. Prayer apps became ad platforms disguised as spiritual tools. nida starts from the opposite: your ibadah is not ours to monetize. Every prayer you make, every time you check the next salat — those moments belong to you and Allah. Not to an ad network. Free. No ads. Forever. —— 3 LANGUAGES — English · Français · العربية Requires Android 8.0+. Offline calculation powered by adhan (open-source library).

What's new

• Share nida with a friend — new option in Settings and a home carousel card • Rate nida — leave a review right from the app • Athan sound now defaults to your device's notification sound on new installs • Fixed: per-prayer athan sound changes now apply immediately in GPS mode
