Full description
Nexus Shift is an offline 2D sliding matrix merge puzzle game. Swipe in four directions across a 4x4 grid to combine matching quantum cores. - Four-directional swipe input: slide fingers left, right, up, or down to shift all active matrix tiles simultaneously. - Core combination mechanics: combine Alpha 1 and Beta 2 to create Harmonic 3; merge matching values of 3 and above to advance exponential tiers (3, 6, 12, 24, 48, 96, 192, 384, 768, 1536, 3072). - Procedural tile introduction: places new cores into random vacant grid cells following each directional shift. - Next incoming core forecast: displays upcoming core value and color at the top of the interface. - Entropy anomaly obstacles: automated state-machine entities traverse grid perimeter lines and lock high-tier tiles. - Three power-up mechanisms: Quantum Stabilizer shields tiles from corruption for 5 moves, Nova Surge doubles merge points for 8 moves, and Singularity Bomb purges corrupted grid tiles. - Exponential scoring model: awards points calculated from core tier values multiplied by active combo streaks up to 20x. - Non-merge combo decay: executing a move without an active core combination resets the combo multiplier to 1x. - Particle animation system: produces color-coded star bursts on merges, tile scale spring animations, and gridlock explosions. - Procedural audio engine: produces 8 distinct sound cues and deep-space looping synthesizers via AudioTrack PCM synthesis. - Head-up display (HUD): presents animated score counter, peak record, next core preview, and active power-up meter. - Tutorial overlay: shows swipe gesture instructions during the initial matrix session. - Pause fragment: supports runtime game suspension with resume, restart, and main menu routing. - Game over screen: activates upon full gridlock with zero empty cells and zero valid combinations remaining. - Level complete screen: triggers upon reaching milestone core tiers with progression awards. - Settings menu: provides individual controls for sound effects, ambient music, and vibration haptics. - How-to-play screen: outlines number merge combinations, tile values, and anomaly threat details. - About screen: documents build version 1.0 and application specifications. - In-memory session architecture: records highest score and peak core achieved without persistent storage latency.
