Parolo: Offline Voice Typing

Parolo is an offline voice keyboard for Android: speech to text in any app, recognized right on your phone. Tap a text field, switch to Parolo, hold the mic and speak. When you let go, the text appears where the cursor is. Where it helps • Dictate messages, emails and notes instead of typing them with your thumbs. • Voice to text in the browser, in documents and in any app with a text field. • Dictate where the connection is weak or missing: after a one-time download of the speech model, dictation works without the internet. Your voice stays on your phone • Speech recognition runs on the device. Audio is processed in the phone's memory, never sent anywhere and never saved to a file. • No account. No ads. • Crash reports are off by default. They are sent only if you turn them on, and they never contain the sound, the text or which apps you type in. Languages • Russian, English and Spanish, with punctuation and capital letters. • You choose the dictation language in the settings, and only that language's model is downloaded: 325 MB for Russian, 670 MB for English and Spanish. Over Wi-Fi by default. How it works • Parolo inserts the text and never presses Enter or Send for you: you check it and send it yourself. • The ⌨ key brings back your usual keyboard in one tap. • The microphone permission is asked the first time you tap the mic, not at startup. Parolo does not record in password fields. Free and Parolo Pro • Free: every language, works offline, 2,000 words a week. The counter resets on Monday at 00:00. After the limit you still get 3 short phrases a day, and a phrase you have started is always inserted in full. • Parolo Pro removes the weekly limit. It is a yearly subscription or a one-time purchase through Google Play. You can cancel the subscription in Google Play at any time. Requirements • Android 9 or newer, 64-bit phone. • Russian: 4 GB of RAM or more. English and Spanish: 6 GB of RAM or more. • The optional button over apps needs Android 13 or newer. Accessibility Service Disclosure (optional) Parolo can show a microphone button over other apps. The button uses an Android accessibility service called "Parolo button". It is off by default; without it Parolo works as a regular voice keyboard. • What it learns from Android: only the type of the input field and which app the field is in. This keeps the button away from password, number, phone and date fields, from system screens and, by default, from banking and wallet apps. • What it does: when you tap the button, it switches your keyboard to Parolo, which starts recording right away (in the settings you can choose to hold the mic instead) and brings your keyboard back after the phrase. • What it never does: it does not read the screen or the text in fields, takes no screenshots, does not type or tap anything for you, and sends nothing. • What it keeps: only your button settings, on the phone (its position and the apps where you hid it).
