A payment method is required to start the trial, and you can cancel at any time before it ends. VPN permission disclosure - NeverBETtr uses Android's VpnService API to run a local, on-device connection that lets the app see DNS lookups made by this device. On Android, this is the only way an app can observe DNS requests without root access, and it is how NeverBETtr recognizes when a gambling site or betting app is being reached. NeverBETtr does not block, filter, or redirect anything. Your connection is not routed through any remote or third-party server, and browsing is never slowed or interrupted. All matching happens on your device against a list of known gambling domains. NeverBETtr does not log, store, or transmit your general browsing activity. DNS lookups that do not match a gambling domain are discarded immediately and are never recorded or sent anywhere. The VPN connection is required for these core features: Gambling activity detection — DNS lookups to known betting, casino, sportsbook, and lottery domains are recognized on-device. Accountability partner alerts — only matched gambling detections (the domain, category and timestamp) are emailed to the partner you designate during setup. Tamper and silence detection — if the VPN connection is turned off, permissions are revoked, or the app is disabled or uninstalled, your partner is emailed, so monitoring cannot be quietly bypassed. NeverBETtr is installed voluntarily by the person being monitored, who chooses their own accountability partner. Before any monitoring begins, the app shows a disclosure screen describing what is collected, that it is sent to our servers, and that it is emailed to a named person; you must accept it. You then approve the VPN connection through Android's standard system dialog, and can revoke it at any time in Android Settings. A persistent notification is shown whenever monitoring is active. Alerting your partner when monitoring stops is intentional and is explained during onboarding. Detection results are transmitted to our servers over HTTPS only.
