Full description
A physical collection can run to hundreds of pieces, and none of it travels with you. A catalogue does. This app turns a coin and banknote collection into something you can open at a fair, at a dealer's table or in front of a display case when you cannot remember whether you already own the piece in front of you. ADDING A PIECE Choose coin or banknote and the form changes to match. For a coin you photograph the obverse, the reverse, the edge and any detail or flaw worth keeping, then record material, weight, diameter, thickness, mint, mintage, variety and edge condition alongside the common fields. For a banknote you photograph the face, the back, the serial number and the watermark, and record series, serial number, size, issue, signatures and printing features. Country, denomination, currency, year, condition, rarity and your own notes are shared by both. You never have to finish a card in one sitting, so save it as a draft and complete it once you have looked the piece up. CONDITION AND CERTIFICATION Grade a piece yourself on the usual scale, or store the grade assigned by a certification company with its certificate number, the date and a photograph of the holder. PRICES THAT BELONG TO YOU A card can hold what you paid, what you currently estimate it is worth and the lowest price you would accept. All three are values you enter yourself. The app does not price anything, does not look up markets and makes no claim about what a piece is worth. PROVENANCE Where a piece came from, when you bought it, from whom, which auction, which previous owner and any comment you want attached. A collection with its history recorded is worth more to you than the same collection without it. SHOW MODE This is what the app is really for. A clean full screen view with big photographs and only the public facts: country, year, denomination, condition, notable features. You decide in advance what disappears in this mode, typically purchase price, floor price, private notes, seller details and storage location. Then you can hand your phone to another collector, an expert or a buyer without handing over everything you know. Show a single piece or page through a whole album like a physical one. ALBUMS Group your collection the way you actually think about it, by country, by period, by metal, by commemorative issues, by anything you like. One piece can sit in several albums at once, so an album is a way of looking at the collection rather than a place a coin is locked into. FOR SALE Mark pieces you would consider parting with, keep an estimate, an asking price and a floor price, and control which of them show. Then open that album at a meeting and go through it with the buyer. WISHLIST Record what you are still looking for, with the variety, the condition you want and the budget you are ready to spend. Useful precisely at the moments when it is hard to think clearly, at auctions and fairs. STATISTICS Totals for pieces, coins, banknotes, countries, certified items and the oldest and newest dates in the collection, plus a breakdown by country, century, denomination, material, condition and rarity, and a comparison of what you have spent against your own estimate of the current value. OFFLINE AND PRIVATE Everything stays on your device and works without a connection. No account, no registration, no feed, nothing published to anyone.
