REMOVE INVISIBLE TEXT CHARACTERS Paste text or open a text file to scan for and remove invisible Unicode characters, including zero-width, bidirectional control and tag characters. Normalize unusual spaces and customize Unicode normalization, emoji variation selectors and private-use character handling. CONTROL WHAT YOU KEEP Adjust photo, document and text cleaning settings to suit your workflow. Options include preserving orientation and color profiles, removing SVG title and description elements, and clearing Markdown front matter. ON-DEVICE CLEANING File metadata removal and standard text cleaning run on your device. Files and text are not uploaded for these operations. Optional AI rewriting requires your own Claude API key and sends the text you choose to rewrite to that service. The app displays ads served by Google AdMob. KNOW THE LIMITS Cleaning depends on the file format and selected settings. MetaClear does not remove visible watermarks, or tracked changes, comments and embedded thumbnails in Office documents. Use your Office app's document inspector for those items. Invisible-character cleanup is not a guarantee that text will pass AI detection.
