Full description
Will you regret the address? n-earshot gives every listed address in Australia a noise score from 0 to 100, built from public data, and shows what makes the noise and when. The score is free, for as many addresses as you like. WHAT GOES IN • Aircraft: real flight corridors, measured from the aircraft themselves, rebuilt every night. How many a day pass over, and how high. • Road traffic: the state road authorities' own traffic counts, on every road. • Rail: public timetables on every track, plus freight corridors. • Venues and crowds: licensed venues with their trading hours, and the precincts that draw crowds. • Industry: registered industrial facilities. • Power lines, substations and data centres. • Residents: GPS-confirmed ratings from people who live there, pooled by street pocket so no house is singled out. THE MAP See the noise heat over any suburb, green to red, and switch it to one kind of noise or one time of day. Tap anywhere for the nearest address and its score. THE FULL REPORT — THE MOVING PASS One purchase opens the full report for any address for 90 days. Nothing renews. • The six axes behind the score, each with its evidence: what the data says, when it happens, and the sources behind the number. • Noise by hour of the day, weighted for how you live: shift worker, working from home, family, night owl. • Development and licence applications nearby, before they are decided. • Alerts on your saved addresses while there is still time to object. • Compare your shortlist axis by axis. • A written Deepdive on what drives the score and who the address suits. • Share a report with a partner or an agent. HONEST BY DESIGN Every number traces to a named public source. The score is a prediction of typical noise, not a measurement at the address, and the app says so: confidence is shown on every score, and the full methodology is published at n-earshot.com/methodology. PRIVACY No account is needed to look. Location is used only in the moment, never tracked. No audio is ever recorded or uploaded. We never sell individual-level data. Where the data comes from n-earshot is an independent app. It does not represent any government entity and is not affiliated with or endorsed by one. The government information it shows is public data published under open licences, from the official sources below, which are also linked in the app under Profile. • Liquor & Gaming NSW: https://www.nsw.gov.au/business-and-economy/liquor-and-gaming/gaming/gaming-machine-data-reports/licensed-premises-data • Liquor Control Victoria: https://discover.data.vic.gov.au/dataset/victorian-liquor-licences-by-location • NSW Planning Portal: https://www.planningportal.nsw.gov.au/opendata/dataset/online-da-data-api • Transport for NSW Open Data: https://opendata.transport.nsw.gov.au/ • VicRoads Open Data: https://vicroadsopendata-vicroadsmaps.opendata.arcgis.com • Public Transport Victoria: https://discover.data.vic.gov.au/dataset/gtfs-schedule • Queensland Open Data: https://www.data.qld.gov.au/dataset/traffic-census-for-the-queensland-state-declared-road-network • TransLink: https://translink.com.au/about-translink/open-data • Main Roads Western Australia: https://catalogue.data.wa.gov.au/dataset/mrwa-traffic-digest • Transperth: https://www.transperth.wa.gov.au/About/Spatial-Data-Access • Data SA: https://data.sa.gov.au/data/dataset/traffic-volumes • Adelaide Metro: https://gtfs.adelaidemetro.com.au/ • Transport Canberra: https://www.transport.act.gov.au • National Pollutant Inventory (DCCEEW): https://www.dcceew.gov.au/environment/protection/npi • Geoscience Australia: https://digital.atlas.gov.au/datasets/digitalatlas::electricity-transmission-lines/about • NSW Spatial Services: https://portal.spatial.nsw.gov.au • City of Melbourne Open Data: https://data.melbourne.vic.gov.au • G-NAF, Geoscape Australia: https://geoscape.com.au/data/g-naf/ Know what's near before you sign.
