Nandanam Live

Nandanam is Kerala's daily spiritual companion- a beautifully crafted, bilingual (English & Malayalam) devotional app that brings the Panchangam, the Malayalam calendar, Kerala temple guides, bhajans, wallpapers and morning prayers together in one place. Built for devotees at home and across the diaspora, Nandanam is free, ad-light and works even on modest connections. DAILY PANCHANGAM See the five elements of each day in both Sanskrit and Malayalam: • Tithi (lunar day) • Nakshatra (star) • Yoga • Karana • Vaara (day of the week) Alongside sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset timings for Kerala. Navigate forward or backward to any date, or jump back to today with a single tap. MALAYALAM CALENDAR A full monthly grid that merges the Gregorian and Malayalam calendars. Each day shows the Malayalam month (Chingam, Kanni, Thulam… in Malayalam script), the day number, the nakshatra and tithi, the moon phase, and any festivals — colour-coded by category (Hindu, Kerala, national, Christian, Islamic, harvest). Tap any day for a detailed breakdown. RAHU KAALAM, YAMAGANDAM & GULIKA KAALAM Know exactly when to avoid beginning auspicious activities. Nandanam shows today's Rahu Kaalam, Yamagandam and Gulika Kaalam windows, highlights which one is currently active, and explains what each window means — so you can plan meetings, travel and new beginnings with confidence. GOD OF THE DAY Every day of the week is associated with a presiding deity — Surya, Shiva, Hanuman, Ganesha, Vishnu, Lakshmi and Shani. Nandanam opens each morning with today's god, the Sanskrit and Malayalam name, the classical mantra, the significance, the associated gemstone, colour and traditional offering. TEMPLE DIRECTORY Explore Kerala's temple heritage, district by district. All 14 districts are covered, with temples shown in both English and Malayalam, along with deity, address, Google rating, opening hours, contact number and directions. Tap through to a full temple page for history, festivals and photography. BHAJANS & DEVOTIONAL AUDIO Listen to a curated library of bhajans and devotional songs with in-app playback. Browse by deity, language or artist, and let the music accompany your puja or commute. SPIRITUAL RINGTONES Replace your default ringtone with a sacred chant, temple bell or mantra. Preview any track before you set it. DEVOTIONAL WALLPAPERS A gallery of devotional wallpapers for every deity — Ganesha, Krishna, Shiva, Devi, Ayyappa, Vishnu and more. Perfect for lock screens and home screens. SUPRABHATHAM ALARM Wake up the traditional way. Set an alarm with Suprabhatham, a temple bell or another sacred track as your ringtone, choose the days you want it to repeat, and start every morning with something meaningful — not a generic buzz. BILINGUAL (ENGLISH & MALAYALAM) Switch the entire interface between English and Malayalam with a single tap. Deity names, temple names, months and mantras are shown in both scripts. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Sign in is optional - you can use Nandanam as a guest. We do not ask for your location, contacts, camera or microphone. The RECORD_AUDIO permission is explicitly blocked.
