NAMobile talks to the USB interface directly. The round trip stays low enough to play like a hardware rig — about 5 ms of true latency on a mid-range phone. IMPORTANT — A USB AUDIO INTERFACE IS REQUIRED NAMobile is not a standalone effect. It processes the signal from a class-compliant USB-C audio interface. You need: • A USB-C Android phone (Android 10 or newer) with USB host / OTG support • A class-compliant USB audio interface. • A guitar or other instrument/line source plugged into the interface Interfaces that force hardware monitoring — where the dry input is always mixed into the output — are not supported, because the processed tone cannot replace the dry sound on those devices. The microphone permission is used only to receive audio from the USB interface. Your audio is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded. Nothing is recorded unless you choose to use the built-in DI recorder, and those takes stay in your device's storage. PRIVACY & OPEN SOURCE NAMobile is open-source software (MIT license). No ads, no analytics, no third-party trackers. Your guitar audio never leaves the device. The only feature that uses the internet is the optional TONE3000 catalog. NAM models are created by the community. NAMobile is an independent app and is not affiliated with any amplifier manufacturer or with the creators of the models you load.
