Call audio uses encrypted WebRTC media channels. A persistent notification is shown so you can see and stop them anytime. • Live location & proximity tracking: After you accept a tracking session, location updates can continue when the screen is off or you leave the app, until you stop sharing. • Voice calls (phoneCall + microphone): During an active VoIP call, calling continues if you leave the call screen or switch apps, until you end the call. • File & media transfers (dataSync): When you send or download media & files, the transfer can finish in the background with a progress notification, until it completes or you cancel. • Incoming call / location alerts (shortService): For a short time when a friend calls or sends a location request, an alert can reach you reliably, then the service stops after you answer, decline, or dismiss.
