Muted - App Blocker & Launcher

You've probably tried this before. Screen time settings, grayscale mode, deleting Instagram on Sunday and reinstalling it on Wednesday. None of it stuck — because at 11:47pm, when you really want to scroll, you can talk yourself past it. Muted is built so you can't. ═══ WHAT IT DOES ═══ • MINIMALIST LAUNCHER — replaces your home screen with a calm, distraction-free interface. No colors, no icons, no infinite app drawer. Just a search bar: type what you actually need and open it. Your apps are still installed — they're just no longer one tap away. The simplest digital detox there is. • APP TIME LIMITS — set a daily limit on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit — anything. Hit the limit and Muted closes the app and shows a clear "limit reached" screen until midnight. • FOCUS MODE — one tap locks everything except your whitelist, for as long as you set. • SCHEDULE MODE — auto-block on the hours you choose: work hours, bedtime, weekends. ═══ WHY THIS ONE HOLDS ═══ Three enforcement levels. You pick how strict. • SOFT — a nudge. Limit changes apply instantly. • MEDIUM — limit changes wait 15 minutes. Long enough for the urge to pass. • HARDCORE — limit changes wait 12 hours, and you have to type out a quote by hand to confirm. This is the part other apps skip. They give you an "are you sure?" button you click in 0.4 seconds. Muted makes the path back to the dopamine deliberately slow. Other screen time apps give you a graph. Muted gives you a boundary. ═══ NO TRICKS, NO TRACKING ═══ • 100% on-device. No servers, no analytics, no account. • No ads, ever. Your usage data never leaves your phone. • One-time purchase. Pay once, it's yours — no subscription. ═══ WHO IT'S FOR ═══ For anyone on a digital detox who keeps hitting a wall. People who tried the other apps and bounced off them. Parents who want their phone to be a tool again, not a habit. ═══ PERMISSIONS, IN PLAIN ENGLISH ═══ • Usage Access — to see how long you've used each app, so daily limits can actually count. • Notifications — for the small "Muted is active" status icon that Android requires for the background service.
