Shroomify - USA Mushroom ID

Explore mushrooms, even with no signal. Shroomify is an independent field guide for people who want to learn about the fungi around them. Choose a USA or regional US dataset to explore species relevant to your area. IDENTIFY YOUR WAY • Work through illustrated characteristics, including cap colour, shape, gills and pores. • Use a photo to suggest visible characteristics, then check and refine the suggestions yourself. Photo assistance runs on your device and works offline. • Search by common or scientific name and compare detailed species accounts and similar species. A GUIDE FOR THE FIELD • More than 400 species and over 1,000 photographs across the catalogue. • Descriptions of appearance, habitat, distinguishing features and similar species. • Regional datasets and seasonal information help put your results in context. • Species descriptions and interface text are available in English, German, French and Italian. YOUR MUSHROOM LOGBOOK Save favourites, record finds and attach your own photographs. Your logbook stays on your device. Export a backup to keep a separate copy, and restore it when needed. LEARN AS YOU EXPLORE Discover mushroom groups and their ecology, with illustrated details to look for. Read the built-in foraging and spore-print guides and explore the Shroomify Research Project's findings about weather, habitat and fungal records. WEATHER OUTLOOK A free early preview compares recent and forecast weather with the conditions usual for the region and season. It needs an internet connection and is available for supported regions and species. The field guide, photo assistance and logbook work offline after installation.
