Yetu

Welcome to Yetu, the essential app for community safety and neighborhood collaboration in Zimbabwe. Connect with your neighbors, report local issues in real-time, and work together to build a safer, more informed community, right from your phone. With Yetu, you become an active part of your neighborhood's information network. See what's happening around you on a live, interactive map and contribute your own updates with just a few taps. Key Features: 📍 Real-Time Map Reporting: Instantly drop a pin on the map to report local incidents. Whether it's a public safety concern, a fallen tree, or a community event, you can add a description and a photo to keep everyone informed. 💬 Integrated Community Chat: Communication is key. Yetu automatically connects you to a chat group for your suburb. You can also join dedicated chat groups for specific reports or start a private, one-on-one conversation with the author of a report to coordinate directly. 💡 Spotlight on Infrastructure: Use our unique 'Spotlight' feature to report and monitor the status of critical local infrastructure, like electrical transformers. Subscribe to a Spotlight report to receive real-time push notifications about its status (e.g., 'At Risk', 'Maintenance', 'Stolen'). 🌐 Local & Provincial Views: Easily toggle between a detailed 'Local' view of your immediate neighborhood and a 'Provincial' overview to stay aware of the bigger picture and reports across the region. 📶 Works Offline: Don't let a bad connection stop you. You can create a report even without an internet connection. Your report is saved securely on your device and automatically syncs with the server once you're back online, ensuring no information is lost. 👤 User-Controlled & Secure: Your privacy matters. You control your profile and have the power to edit or delete your own reports. Admins and report authors have the tools they need to keep information accurate and relevant. Join your neighbors on Yetu and help build a stronger, safer, and more connected community. Download Yetu today and be the change in your neighborhood!
