MSU ClassLens

ClassLens is the official academic utility built exclusively for the students and faculty of The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (MSU Baroda). Designed to modernize campus workflows, ClassLens replaces time-consuming manual roll calls with an automated system driven by a single classroom photo. This ensures accurate record-keeping, eliminates administrative headaches, and gives instructors more time to focus on teaching. The Student Experience ClassLens makes tracking your college attendance transparent and completely effortless. Simple Registration: Onboard instantly by using your unique university Permanent Registration Number (PRN). Profile Setup: Generate and easily update your official Face ID profile directly within the app to ensure the system recognizes you accurately during class sessions. Real-Time Visibility: You never have to guess your attendance status. The moment you are marked present in a lecture, you receive an instant push notification on your device. Attendance Analytics: Access a personal dashboard showing your real-time attendance statistics and percentages across all enrolled subjects, helping you stay on top of university criteria. The Teacher Experience Instructors retain full administrative control over their classrooms without the burden of manual logging. Verified Access: Securely register using your official university email address to access your department's active course lists. One-Tap Attendance: During a lecture, simply take a photo of the classroom session for that particular class within the app. The system automatically scans the photo and checks off the students who are present. Processing Updates: Receive real-time notifications tracking the scanning progress, alerting you the exact second the automated roster is ready. Absolute Manual Override: The teacher’s decision is always final. If a student is missed or requires a manual correction, you can override the system's decision instantly to ensure 100% accurate records. Class Insights: Review exhaustive session-by-session attendance metrics and overall class statistics to easily monitor student engagement. Core Features & Benefits Zero Student Distraction: Students do not need to take individual selfies or scan QR codes during class. The teacher handles the attendance with a single photo, leaving the student's focus entirely on the lecture. Secure Record Retention: To ensure absolute transparency and resolve any attendance disputes throughout the semester, classroom session photos are securely stored. This allows both teachers and administrators to easily verify past sessions if a discrepancy arises. Proxy Prevention: By relying on verified student Face ID profiles and actual classroom captures, the app effectively eliminates buddy sign-ins and unauthorized attendance logs. No Extra Infrastructure: The entire system runs smoothly on standard smartphones and existing university computing setups. No expensive wall-mounted scanners or proprietary hardware are required. Streamline your classroom logistics, maintain transparent academic records, and save valuable class time. Access is strictly restricted to authorized MSU Baroda personnel.
