Full description
Mímir is a web browser for people who build the web. It puts the real Chrome DevTools inside an Android browser, so you can inspect elements, edit CSS live, read the console, watch network requests and step through JavaScript on your tablet, with no computer, no cable and no developer options. WHY MÍMIR Every other way to inspect a page on Android needs a desktop Chrome connected over USB, or a lightweight imitation of DevTools injected into the page. Mímir runs the genuine DevTools frontend against its own browser engine, in the same window as the page. Dock it to the right or the bottom, drag the divider, tap to inspect. It's the workflow you know from the desktop, on a device you can carry. BUILT FOR REAL WORK • Tabs with favicons and close buttons, an omnibox with history and bookmark suggestions, and a one-tap switch between desktop and mobile site. • Bookmarks the way Chrome does them: a bookmarks bar, folders inside folders, and a full manager. • History grouped by day, with search. • Settings laid out like a desktop browser: search engine, home page, force dark mode, text size, JavaScript and cookie controls, clear browsing data. • Works beautifully in Samsung DeX and split screen. SCRIPTS AND STYLES Extensions don't exist for Android WebView, so Mímir gives you the next best thing. Write JavaScript or CSS that runs on the sites you choose, at page start or page end. Import userscripts from a URL. Block requests to hosts you never want to load. Everything is editable inside the app. WHY IT EXISTS Mímir was built by a developer who wanted to do full-stack work from a tablet after going through The Odin Project, and found there was no real way to inspect a page on Android. If you're learning HTML, CSS and JavaScript, or you're a working developer who'd rather carry a tablet than a laptop, this is the tool that was missing. FREE, OPEN SOURCE, NO TRACKING Mímir collects no data, shows no ads and contains no analytics. Your history, bookmarks and scripts stay on your device. The source code is public, and the app itself is written mostly in Ruby, running an embedded mruby interpreter and a Ruby-to-JavaScript interface, with a small Java host. It was developed entirely on an Android tablet. If Mímir earns a place in your workflow, you can leave a tip from the Support page. Tips are optional and unlock nothing; every feature is free for everyone. Mímir is named for the Norse sage whose counsel revealed hidden knowledge. It uses Android System WebView (Chromium) as its engine and loads the DevTools interface from Google's servers when you open it, so an internet connection is needed the first time.

What's new

Faster Inspect element when DevTools is already open. Also includes recent improvements: desktop-style right-click menu on pages (open link, copy, search selection, inspect element), mouse back/forward button navigation, Google sign-in support, and fixed DevTools style editing on the keyboard.
