Full description
If something happens to you, your phone carries out your wishes. Mortui learns your daily routine. If it stops and you don't answer a check-in, it sends the messages you wrote to the people you chose and erases the files you marked. No subscription | No ads | No cloud | No AI HOW IT WORKS: Mortui spends two weeks learning your ordinary rhythm: when you wake, how often you unlock your phone, which apps you open, how much you move. After that, it watches for days that don't look like you. If an abnormal day is recorded - or when your phone sits untouched through hours you're normally active - Mortui asks you to check in. Your screen lights up, a countdown starts, and a fingerprint or PIN is all it takes to say you're still here. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN IT TRIGGERS: • Securely deletes the files and folders you selected • Sends the messages you wrote, to the recipients you chose, from your own email account • Attaches any documents you left for them • Erases everything in your encrypted vault afterward WHEN DOES IT TRIGGER?: Mortui watches for two things: 1) Your daily rhythm breaks for two consecutive days - when you wake up, which apps you open, how much you move around. One unusual day is never enough to set anything off. 2) You don't unlock your phone for 16 hours during the hours you're normally awake. (Adjustable — anywhere from 8 to 24 hours.) Before anything happens: • Your phone alerts you like an alarm clock - the screen wakes up, it shows over your lock screen, and it comes through Do Not Disturb. • You get at least 4 hours to respond, and the countdown never runs out while you'd normally be asleep - it always waits until at least an hour after your usual wake-up time. • Checking in cancels everything. Just open the app. Nothing is deleted, nothing is sent. • WARNING: Dismissing the alert only silences it - the countdown keeps going. You have to check in. EMERGENCY CONTACTS: Add up to three emergency contacts, each confirmed by text. If you don't respond to a check-in, Mortui sends them one text from your own phone asking them to call you - and an all-clear once you check in. That is all it uses texts for. It never reads your messages, and never sends your files or letters by text. You can also trigger it yourself: • Security → Emergency Actions runs everything immediately, on purpose, with no waiting period. • Test Mode rehearses the whole thing without deleting or sending anything real YOUR DATA NEVER LEAVES YOUR PHONE: Mortui has no servers and no account to create. Everything it measures is analysed and stored on your device, in a database encrypted with a key held in Android's hardware-backed keystore. Messages go out through your own Gmail, Outlook, or SMTP account, straight to your recipients. SECURE VAULT: Keep passwords, account lists, letters and documents in an encrypted vault on your device — AES-256, behind your fingerprint. Attach them to the people who should receive them. When the switch fires, they're delivered and then destroyed. • Pass on accounts and passwords to the people who will need them • Leave important documents for those you trust • Build a CSV or table with the built-in CSV/Table Builder GOING AWAY?: Vacation mode suspends triggers for a date range you set, while monitoring continues. FREE AND PAID: Free: behavioural monitoring, anomaly detection, and secure file deletion. Paid: adds messaging, recipients, and the encrypted vault. One purchase, yours for life. Deliberately not a subscription — a subscription that lapses is a switch that doesn't fire. PLEASE READ: Mortui is a personal tool, not an emergency service. It can ask people you chose to check on you, but it cannot call emergency services, and it is not a substitute for a will, a lawyer, or telling someone you trust what your wishes are. It detects prolonged inactivity, which is not the same as detecting death. Choose your thresholds carefully and test the app before you rely on it.

What's new

Safety fixes and a polish pass: • With no PIN set, the countdown alert no longer checks you in on its own. • Monitoring comes back after being stopped from Task Manager. • Turning monitoring off also stops a countdown already running. • Every automatic trigger now warns you first. • Vault files reach the right person, under their real names. • The Dashboard tells you if your alerts are silenced. • Restore and Upgrade always say what happened. • Cleaner text and alignment throughout.
