Full description
Spinney is a spin-the-wheel app from Moonlet Labs for quick decisions and long game nights: custom wheels, a name picker, a coin flip and a finger chooser for who goes first. Spin the wheel Make a wheel with up to 100 slices, each with a label of up to 80 characters and its own colour, then fling it or tap Spin. Save your wheels and find them again with search, or make a quick wheel you don't keep. Presets get you started: Yes / No, Numbers 1 to N, Who goes first (Player 1 to 4) and What's for dinner. Editing a preset makes your own copy, and you can drag slices into any order. Weights you can see Give a slice a weight from 1 to 10 and it is drawn that many times wider, with a badge such as ×3 on the wheel. Switch a slice off to leave it out without deleting it. Every spin is random. The weights you set are shown on the wheel. The result is drawn first with a secure random number generator, using only the weights you can see, and the wheel then lands inside that slice. There is no hidden mode. Name picker Paste a list, one name per line, to fill a wheel in one go. Turn on Remove the winner and each picked name leaves the wheel, so you can go through a group in turn with no repeats. Teachers can use it as a name picker, and it works just as well for stand-up order, chores or whose turn it is. Coin flip Flip a plain coin for heads or tails, with a running tally for the session. Finger chooser Everyone puts a finger on the screen and holds still. After two seconds a countdown runs, then Spinney picks one finger, or splits everyone into 2 to 5 teams. It takes up to 10 fingers, depending on how many touches your phone can sense, and the phone vibrates on the pick. History and settings History keeps your last 50 results from the wheel, the coin and the chooser. Choose the spin length (short, normal or long), and turn sound and haptics on or off. Reduced motion shortens the spin to 0.6 seconds and keeps the same result, and TalkBack reads out each result. Share a wheel as plain text, one slice per line, and paste it into Spinney on another phone. Privacy: no account and no permissions to grant, and everything works offline. Your wheels, labels and history stay on your phone and in your own Android backup; a shared wheel is plain text that you send. The app is ad-supported: ads are served by Google AdMob, which may use the advertising ID. Moonlet Labs collects crash reports and usage analytics through Google Firebase, linked to pseudonymous app identifiers rather than your name or email; they never include your labels or wheel names. Where the law requires it, the app asks for your consent first, and privacy choices are in Settings. Privacy policy: moonletlabs.com/privacy.html
