Dilution Calculator: Ratio

Mixing a concentrate from a label ratio? This dilution calculator gives you the concentrate and water for any batch size, and keeps a record of what you mixed. HOW IT WORKS Type the strength from the label as 1:X, as a percent, or as mL per liter of water. Choose a batch size — 500 mL, 1 L, 5 L, 10 L, or 1 qt, 1 gal, 2 gal, 5 gal in US units — or enter your own. The app shows the concentrate and the water side by side, plus a tank graphic of the split. 1:X WITHOUT GUESSWORK Some labels mean 1 part concentrate plus X parts water; others mean 1 part in X parts of finished mix. Pick the basis and the app states it in words. Percent is always of the finished mix and mL/L is always per liter of water. A conversion card shows one strength in all four notations. POUR TO THE MARKS ON YOUR CUP Select a measuring step (1, 5, 10 or 25 mL, or 1/4 to 2 US fl oz). The concentrate is rounded to the nearest mark, the water is adjusted to keep the batch size, and the change in strength is shown in percentage points. TOP UP OR WORK BACKWARDS • Leftover top-up: remaining mix and its strength, target volume and optional container size give the concentrate and water to add. Impossible targets and overflow are flagged. • Reverse: from the concentrate you have to the total mix and water. RECIPES AND BATCH LOG Save named recipes, update or rename them, and delete with confirmation. After mixing, tap "Mixed it" to log the batch with its exact or measuring-mark amounts. The log groups batches by day, keeps the newest 300, and can be shared as CSV text. EXAMPLE RATIOS The guide lists calculation examples for spraying, car detailing, garden feed and cleaning. They are examples, not recommendations — the product label decides. Useful for detailing APC and snow foam, garden liquid feed, crop and pest spraying, pressure-washer soap and cleaning concentrates.
