Banter: AI Conversational Gym

Banter is the social-skills app for people who think faster than they speak. Open the app. Pick a scene — small talk in the elevator, asking for a raise, a tough boundary, flirting at a party. Eight AI personas reply in character, calibrated to the energy you bring. A second AI — your Wingman — reads every turn and drops one-line nudges so you can correct mid-conversation, not just after. At the end, a six-axis recap shows what worked, what didn't, and the exact line to try next time. Five minutes a day. 150+ scenarios. Real reps. WHY BANTER • Practice without the awkwardness. Run the same hard conversation ten times in a row — at 11pm, on the bus, before the real one happens. • Mid-conversation coaching. Most apps grade you after the fact. Banter's Wingman whispers while it still matters. • A real recap, not a vibe check. Six axes — engagement, specificity, rapport, skill, drive, adaptability. The radar chart shows you exactly where to push. • A skill tree, not a feed. 150+ structured scenarios across six categories. Visible progress. Nothing endless. • On-device voice. Speak your turn — speech recognition and TTS run locally. Your audio never leaves your phone. SIX SOCIAL MUSCLES • Small Talk — turn everyday encounters into easy conversation • Flirting — relaxed, confident, never try-hard • Conflict — firm boundaries with empathy intact • Favors & Asks — get what you want without being pushy or passive • Networking — build genuine professional connections • Empathy & Support — show up for people in hard moments FREESTYLE MODE Have a meeting tomorrow you're dreading? Write the scene yourself. Define the persona, the stakes, the tone — Banter builds the partner and the coach. Custom skill sets get AI-generated paths you can complete like the built-in ones. STREAKS, XP, MOMENTS Daily streaks with real milestones at 7, 14, 30, 60, and 100 days. XP for every rep. Save your smoothest exchanges as Moments and replay them later for the lines that actually landed. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Conversations are stored on your device. Voice runs on-device. No training on your chats, no profile resale, no creepy data harvest. FREE TO START Practice as much as you want.
