Lịch Xưa - Lunar Calendar VN

The wall-hung tear-off calendar of Vietnamese grandparents, reborn on your phone. Beautiful, accurate, light. Lịch Xưa ("old calendar") is a Vietnamese lunar calendar in retro Hanoi style. Open it and you see a real paper page: a huge date, the lunar date, stem-branch names, auspicious hours and a folk proverb for today. Swipe up every morning to tear off a page — the corner curls under your finger, with a soft paper-tearing sound. ◆ TRUE RETRO, TRULY VIETNAMESE • Classic Hanoi tear-off calendar look: aged paper, cinnabar ink, a wooden "Auspicious" seal. • Đông Hồ folk paintings that come alive every day: a rooster pecking grain, a waddling pig family, a leaping carp, the mouse wedding procession, the scholar's return… all newly hand-drawn in woodcut style. • The 12 Đông Hồ zodiac animals; the year's animal is printed faintly behind the date, like offset-printed calendars. ◆ SIMPLE ENOUGH FOR GRANDPARENTS • Just 4 tabs: Today · Month · Events · More. • Large type, high contrast, an extra-large "grandparents" text size, and TalkBack reads each page as a natural sentence. • Swipe up/down to change day, sideways to change month. ◆ ACCURATE FOR VIETNAM • Computed for Vietnam's time zone (GMT+7) with Hồ Ngọc Đức's algorithm — Tết never shifts like it can with Chinese calendars. • 100% offline, from 1900 to 2199. • Day/month/year stem-branch, 24 solar terms, 12 day officers, 28 lunar mansions, auspicious and inauspicious hours, travel directions, clashing ages and taboo days. ◆ LUNAR ANNIVERSARIES & BIRTHDAYS • Reminders for death anniversaries, lunar birthdays, the 1st and 15th of each lunar month — yearly or monthly. • Leap months and 29-day months handled correctly. • Tết countdown and pinned countdowns for important days. ◆ TRADITIONAL TOOLS • 20 Vietnamese prayer texts in large print, with today's lunar date filled in and offering suggestions. • Lunar ↔ solar converter, public holidays and the Tết break schedule. • Home screen widgets: calendar page, day, month and Tết countdown. ◆ PRIVATE No account, no sign-in. Your events stay on your phone and are backed up by Android to your own Google account. ◆ LỊCH XƯA PRO — ONE-TIME PURCHASE, YOURS FOR LIFE No subscription, no renewals. Pro unlocks: • No ads at all • Unlimited events (free version: 5 events) • Good days by activity: weddings, groundbreaking, moving house, grand openings, travel… • Daily things to do / to avoid • 24-mountain feng shui compass and 3 Lỗ Ban rulers • Tết & event countdown widget • Export events to your Calendar app The free version shows one small ad banner at the bottom of the Month and Events tabs; the Today page is always clean, with no ads.
