A) No. USSD dialing and local record-keeping work fully offline. You only need internet the first time you sign in, to renew your subscription, and to sync your history to the cloud. Q) Which network does the app work with? A) MTN Ghana. Cediapp is built specifically for MTN Mobile Money USSD codes (*171#). Q) Do I need a smartphone? A) Yes — the app requires Android and uses the phone's Accessibility Service to type USSD selections for you. PERMISSIONS Cediapp uses your phone's Accessibility Service (the "USSD Helper") to type MTN's menu selections into your dialer. Please grant this permission when prompted. Some phones' battery-saving modes silently disable Accessibility Services. If the app stops automating dials, re-enable the USSD Helper from Android's Accessibility settings. We also request Phone permission to place USSD calls, and Phone State permission to detect your MTN SIM. We never read SMS, contacts, files, camera, or location.
