So the longer you chain, the weaker they start. The puzzle decides the battle before it begins. Mid-fight, you pick one ability card out of three: firepower, defence, or extra summons. Higher rarities carry their own skill, themed to fire, ice or dark, and sword/spear/ranged matchups decide the fight. Duplicates are never wasted.
