Full description
■ Merge, and a civilization grows Put two matching buildings together and you get the next one up. A campfire becomes a hut, a hut becomes a village, and in the end you reach a tower above the clouds. Twelve tiers of buildings, from 2 to 4096. ■ Five ages to travel through Stone Age → Middle Ages → Industrial Age → Modern City → Wasteland. Reach 2048 in an age and the next one opens. Every age swaps out all twelve buildings. Tents and dolmens become castles and cathedrals, you pass red-brick mills and glass towers, and you end at a reactor standing in the ruins. The ground changes too: meadow, soot-black cobble, dry sand. ■ What's left when the board fills up In most 2048 games, getting stuck means everything you built is gone. Merge City 2048 is different. Your score turns straight into material for a city that is yours to keep — and it banks while you play, so you never have to finish a run to earn it. ■ Your city grows on its own As material comes in, the city builds itself. Buildings, trees and rocks and wildflowers, parks and plazas and lakes. The land starts small and widens as it fills, and the roads grow from a crossing into a grid. Open the city and whatever went up since your last visit rises one by one. Each age has more than thirty-five things to build, including some that exist only there — a medieval tourney ground, a Victorian gasworks. Losing is fine. This run counts toward your city too. ■ Every building you make for the first time is recorded Build something new and it goes into your codex. What you haven't seen yet stays a silhouette, so there is always one more shape to uncover. Twelve slots per age — how many can you fill? ■ A tilted board, the rules you know Swipe in four directions across an isometric board. The rules are exactly the ones you remember, but you watch buildings grow instead of numbered blocks. If swiping feels awkward, switch to direction buttons in settings. You can also hide the tile numbers and read the buildings alone. ■ You might like this if · You want one short run at a time · You are tired of puzzles that leave nothing behind · You like collecting and filling things in · You like watching something of your own grow · You would rather watch an ad than pay Plays offline.
