Voice Recorder is a fast, private audio recorder for Android. Capture lectures, meetings, interviews, song ideas and quick voice memos in uncompressed WAV or space-saving M4A — and watch every word land on a real-time waveform as you speak. No account. No sign-up. No cloud. Your recordings are written to your phone and stay there. RECORD WITH REAL CONTROL • Live waveform and dB level meter while you record • Uncompressed WAV at 44.1 kHz / 16-bit, or compressed M4A to save space • Low, Standard, High and Custom quality — set your own sample rate and channels • Pause and resume in the middle of a take • Lock the screen so a pocket tap can't stop your recording • Unlimited recording length and unlimited recordings, free • Crash recovery — if the app is killed mid-take, your audio is still there PLAY BACK PRECISELY • Scrub the waveform straight to the moment you need • Skip forward and back • Playback speed control • Share any recording without leaving the player KEEP A LIBRARY THAT STAYS TIDY • Search your recordings by name • Sort by date, name, length or size • Favourites, plus your own categories and folders • Length and file size shown on every row • Rename, re-file and delete in a tap TRANSCRIPTION THAT RUNS ON THE PHONE Turn a recording into searchable text using Android's on-device speech recognition. The audio is not uploaded to transcribe it — the whole job happens locally. (Needs an on-device speech model installed for your language.) YOUR FILES, YOUR FOLDER Keep recordings in private app storage, or choose your own folder so they appear in your file manager and sync tools. WAV and M4A are ordinary audio files that open anywhere — no proprietary format, no lock-in, nothing trapped inside the app. GREAT FOR Lectures and classes • meetings and stand-ups • interviews and journalism • dictation and notes • song and melody ideas • field and sound recording • practising a talk • keeping a voice diary Voice Recorder is a simple sound recorder and dictaphone that treats your audio as yours.
