Full description
DevCompass is a library of developer learning paths that actually explains things. Ninety-six roadmaps cover the routes people genuinely take through this industry: frontend, backend, DevOps, Android, iOS, data engineering, machine learning, security, game development, engineering management and more. Each one is broken into sections and topics, so you always know what comes next. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT Most roadmaps hand you a diagram of boxes and leave you to search for each one. Every topic in DevCompass has a written explanation — 4,964 of them, around 270,000 words in total. Each explains what the thing is in plain language, why it earns a place in the path, and the mistake people actually make with it. Many include a short code sample. Nothing is generated on the fly. It was written to be read. TRACK WHAT YOU KNOW Tick topics off as you learn them. Every path shows your progress, and the Explore screen picks up where you left off. Save the paths you care about and come back to them. WORKS OFFLINE All content ships inside the app. Browse paths, read explanations and mark your progress on a plane, on the underground, or anywhere with no signal. Only the external resource links need a connection. NO ACCOUNT, NO TRACKING There is no sign-up and no server. Your progress is stored on your device and never sent anywhere. No analytics, no usage tracking, no email address. Ads are served by Google and are the only thing that sends data from your device — the privacy policy sets out exactly what that means. CURATED RESOURCES Every section links to hand-picked documentation, articles, videos and courses — 1,390 of them, each checked to make sure it is still worth your time. MADE FOR READING Native, fast and built to platform conventions. Light and dark themes, or follow your system setting. Dynamic Type support throughout. HOW IT IS FREE DevCompass is free and funded by ads. The introduction and first three sections of every path open immediately. Later sections unlock one at a time by watching a short video — always your choice, and once a section is open it stays open. An occasional full-screen ad appears when you open the app. SOME OF WHAT IS COVERED Roles: Frontend, Backend, Full Stack, DevOps, DevSecOps, Android, iOS, AI Engineer, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, MLOps, Cyber Security, QA, Software Architect, Product Manager, Engineering Manager, Technical Writer, Game Developer, Network Engineer, Blockchain, UX Design, Developer Relations. Languages and tools: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Go, Rust, Java, Kotlin, Swift, C, C++, PHP, Ruby, Scala, React, React Native, Vue, Angular, Next.js, Node.js, Django, Laravel, Spring Boot, Flutter, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, Cloudflare, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, GraphQL, Git. Foundations: Computer Science, Data Structures and Algorithms, System Design, API Design, Design and Architecture, Code Review, Frontend and Backend Performance, API Security. Starting out: dedicated beginner paths for frontend, backend, DevOps and Git that assume nothing. Start with whichever path matches where you are. Everything is unlocked from the first topic — there is no course to buy and no trial to remember to cancel.

What's new

New: Interview practice. Every section of all 96 paths now has a quiz — 4,000+ questions, each answer explained — plus 800+ questions to answer out loud. Also in this build: • Every topic now has a written explanation, not just links • Every path opens with an introduction • Light and dark themes with a manual override • Back navigation and the tab bar now work on detail screens • Redrawn icon, splash screen and colours
