Full description

Misaskim Shiva Minyanim helps members of the Jewish community find, join, and support shiva minyanim — prayer services held at a house of mourning — happening near them. When someone is sitting shiva, a minyan needs to come together so Kaddish can be said. This app makes it simple to see where a minyan is needed nearby and to help make sure one forms. KEY FEATURES • Nearby minyanim map — See active shiva minyanim and shiva houses around you at a glance, with the address and time for each. • Tzenter Mode (opt-in alerts) — Turn on background location alerts and get notified the moment a new shiva minyan is created near you, even when the app is closed. Because these gatherings are often arranged on short notice, a timely alert can be the difference between having a minyan and not. • See who's coming — Each minyan shows how many people have committed to attend, so you can tell when one is close to reaching the required quorum. • Join in one tap — Let organizers and others know you're on your way. • Saved locations — Save the places that matter to you (home, work, family) and receive alerts for new minyanim near any of them. • Built for the community — Clear, respectful, and focused on a single purpose: helping ensure that every mourner has a minyan. Misaskim Shiva Minyanim is provided to support the community in performing this important mitzvah of nichum aveilim.
