Full description
Street signs, menus, price tags: hard to make sense of? This course starts from zero and teaches you to read Thai script by working out the sounds yourself. If you searched for “learn Thai alphabet,” that is the focus here. You start by building มา from two symbols and hearing it. If you searched for “learn Thai app” or “learning thai language,” the scope matters: script, not conversation, phrasebooks, dictionaries or translation. 🎯 How one session goes Meet a new symbol and hear its sound. Each consonant card has a hand-drawn picture of the word used in that letter’s name. Trace it after a stroke order animation. Practice in short exercises, one action per screen. New symbols arrive a few at a time, grouped by consonant class. If you searched “learn thai language alphabet” or “Thai writing alphabet,” this is a structured course: 5 modules, 75 lessons. Module 1 lessons take 2–3 minutes; lessons in modules 2–5 take about 10 minutes: 1️⃣ First Letters: 7 lessons, 5 consonants and 3 long vowels. 2️⃣ Live and Dead Syllables: 28 lessons, remaining Low Class 1 consonants and long vowels, final consonants; then Low Class 2, live and dead syllables. 3️⃣ The Mid Class: 16 lessons, 7 mid class consonants, short vowels. 4️⃣ The Silent Partner: 16 lessons, 7 high class consonants, 7 combinations with silent leading ห. 5️⃣ The Five Tones: 8 lessons on pitch contours, four tone marks and tone rules. After module one you can already sound out มา, นา, มี, งู. 🎧 Practice ➤ Listening quiz: pick what you hear. ➤ Pronunciation checking is optional. Enable it with a one-time download of about 88 MB. ➤ Without it, the pronunciation step becomes “listen and repeat”; you can still complete every lesson. ➤ Assemble a syllable from parts or split longer words into syllables. ➤ Sort symbols by class with a swipe, place tone marks, identify each tone. ➤ Record your voice, then compare your pitch line against reference audio. This one is not graded. 📚 Review tools ▸ Letter reference from Home: a “thai alphabet chart” with every course symbol by class; tap one to hear it. ▸ Spaced repetition flashcards appear automatically. ▸ Forgotten “thai letters” return sooner. 🧠 Designed for short sessions • Mistakes never block progress. Lives, penalties, countdown timers do not exist here. • After several failed tries, you can skip the exercise. • XP, stars and achievements, plus a daily streak with freeze and repair options. • Gentle reminders are optional. • Home screen shows one main button: continue. 💳 Course access The first 7 lessons (all of Module 1) are open at no cost. Modules 2–5 add 68 lessons with one purchase. No ads. No subscription. Start without an account. Lessons, audio and flashcards work without internet. Interface available in English, Russian, Japanese, Korean, and Traditional Chinese. If you found this through “learn thailand language” or “Thailand alphabet,” this course stays focused on script. Search terms vary—“thai vowels,” “Thai consonants,” “thai tones”—but the material is concrete: 28 consonants in their classes, 17 vowel signs and 4 tone marks. By module five you can sound out syllables on signs or menus, then work out their tone. Vocabulary and grammar are outside this course. FAQ ❓ “How to learn Thai language”: where should you start? 💡 Begin with the script. Sounds, stroke order and word structure come first; tone rules come last. ❓ “how to read thai”: what does this course teach? 💡 Split a word into syllables, sound out each consonant with its vowel, then work out the tone. The exercises practice this process. ❓ Is this a speaking or grammar course? 💡 No. Pronunciation checking is optional, but conversation, grammar and vocabulary study are out of scope. Compared with broader “thai language learning apps,” this one focuses on script only. Module 1 starts with shapes, sounds and reading—the basics behind “learn thai alphabet writing.”
