MicroTonali Tuner

MicroTonali Tuner is a microtonal and chromatic tuner for Android. Use it as your everyday chromatic tuner, or switch to one of the nine built-in tuning systems: - 12-EDO (standard) - 24-EDO (quarter tones) - 5-limit Just Intonation - 22-shruti - Farhat-17 (Persian) - 19-EDO - 31-EDO - 53-EDO - 72-EDO The tuner shows pitch deviation relative to the nearest tone of the selected tuning, rather than only the nearest 12-EDO semitone. Seven display modes show the pitch: - Gauge: a familiar arc with a needle, showing deviation from the target tone - Rings: a radial display with all tuning tones arranged on concentric rings, with the detected tone highlighted in the center - Strobe: four horizontal stripe bands whose speed and color encode pitch deviation. The bands stand still when in tune. - Lissajous: an ellipse whose rotation speed and color encode cent deviation. The ellipse holds still when in tune. - Hexagonal: a Tonnetz grid with all tones of the active tuning. Harmonically related tones sit next to each other, fifths run horizontally, thirds diagonally. Shells around the active tone glow as pitch deviation grows. - Sediment: a scrolling history of all recognized notes. Each note leaves a band whose curve records whether it ran sharp, flat, or centered. The band widens the longer the pitch holds in tune. Shows intonation trends across a passage, not just the current note. - SIGIL: a rotating polygon with three to eight sides. A triangle marks maximum deviation, an octagon means in tune. Rotation speed is proportional to deviation, clockwise means sharp, counter-clockwise means flat. When in tune, a smaller counter-rotating polygon appears inside. Works with any pitched instrument: guitar, bass, oud, setar, saz, violin, winds.
