Track your income, expenses, savings, budgets and debts — and let Mero Paisa read your bank's transaction messages so you are not retyping what your bank already told you. Completely offline, in English or Nepali. Mero Paisa is a private personal finance tracker and expense manager for Android. There is no sign-up, no cloud account and no internet permission: every transaction stays in local storage on your phone. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Automatic transaction reading from your bank's SMS — alerts you already receive become entries you approve with a swipe • Multiple money sources — Cash, Bank, Wallet or Other, each with its own balance • Daily expense tracking with categories, so you can see where the money actually goes • Income, expense, saving, and transfers between your own accounts • Debt tracking — money you lent and money you borrowed, person by person • Spending limits — one weekly and one monthly budget, with progress bars and overspend warnings • Yearly savings goal — track progress against a target, including savings you made before installing • Personal or Family mode — optionally attribute spending to family members • Reports — monthly category breakdowns, a donut chart, and money-source weighting • Excel export — a real .xlsx workbook you can open anywhere • Backup and restore — lossless JSON backup for moving between phones • App lock — optional biometric lock on your financial data READING YOUR TRANSACTION SMS Your bank and your wallet text you every time money moves. Mero Paisa reads those messages and offers each one as an entry, so most of your spending is recorded before you open the app. It is off until you set it up. No bank formats ship with the app: it learns from a message you actually received, and you confirm which number is the amount. That is the whole setup, and it works with whatever your bank writes. You choose which senders are read. To build the list you choose from, the app reads sender addresses only — never the text of a message. After that it reads those senders and no one else: the query it runs always names them, so nobody else's messages are ever returned to it. It looks in your inbox only while the app is open. There is no background service, and it does not receive messages as they arrive. Nothing is recorded without you. Every reading is offered as a card showing both the entry it proposes and the message it read that from — swipe right to add it, left to ignore it, or tap to correct it first. Everything is read on your phone and never transmitted — Mero Paisa has no internet permission, so it is not something the app is able to do. To set it up: Settings → Read transaction SMS, or the "Turn bank messages into entries" card on the Dashboard. DEBTS AND LOANS Record money you lent to someone, or borrowed from them, per person. Two running totals show what you are still owed and what you still owe. Repayments come off the outstanding amount — partial ones included — and a debt is marked settled once it reaches zero. Lending moves money out of the account you pick and borrowing moves it in, but neither is counted as income or as an expense, so your spending reports stay honest. Debts from before you installed the app can be added too, without touching your current balances. An optional due date can be noted for reference; the app sends no notifications. ENGLISH AND NEPALI The app is fully bilingual. Every screen, button, category and help note is translated — not just the menus. Switch between English and नेपाली at any time from Settings; the change is instant and needs no reinstall. TRULY OFFLINE Mero Paisa makes no network calls at all. Your budget, balances, debts and transaction history — and anything read from your messages — never leave your device. Nothing to leak, nothing to subscribe to. Mero Paisa is Nepali for "My Money."
