Melyuna: Dating & Languages

Melyuna is a language exchange app for adults aged 18 and over. It pairs you with people who speak the language you are learning — and who are learning yours — so you learn by talking with someone who actually speaks it. Make friends from other countries along the way, with a separate mode for dating. The interface comes in 42 languages, and you can choose from 43 languages to speak and learn — from English speaking practice to your first words of Turkish. How language exchange works • List the languages you speak and the ones you are learning, each with an optional CEFR level (Native, or C2 to A1), so native speakers and learners can find each other. • In Language & Friends mode, Discover shows people who speak the language you are learning, or are learning yours. • Profiles show why you match, such as who can help whom with which language, plus a match percentage. • Add a voice prompt of up to 30 seconds so others can hear your voice and accent. A chat made for practice • Send text, photos and voice messages. Photos can also be sent as view-once. • Built-in translation: translate text messages you receive, or your own draft into their language before sending. • Tap a word in a received message, post, comment or profile to see its meaning. • Correct your partner's message: the original stays struck through, with your correction shown beneath it. • Reply, react with emoji, see read receipts, and edit your messages within 15 minutes or unsend them. • Icebreakers built from your shared languages, hobbies and answers give you a first line. Shared hobbies, near or far • Open the Hobbies tab, tap a hobby such as hiking, cooking, photography or travel, and meet people who love it. • Add music genres, hobbies and up to three prompts about your languages, your country or travel. Shared interests count toward your match. • Take the 16-question Compatibility quiz; the answers you share appear on profiles. • See people nearby within 5 to 500 km, or go Worldwide to meet people around the world. If no one is close, the search widens on its own. • Browse another country or city, and filter by age range, verified profiles or language partners. The World feed • Share a post, photo, voice clip or poll, tag its language, and ask others to correct you in the comments. • Answer Today's question, the same question for everyone each day, in text, a photo or your voice. • Like and comment, quietly follow people to see their new posts, or leave a private note that becomes a chat request. Meet mode Switch Discover to Meet to use Melyuna as a dating app for singles. • Swipe to like or pass, send a Spark (a super like), and undo your last swipe. • Like a photo or prompt with a note. If you match, it becomes your first message, and you can translate it into their language first. • Likes You shows exactly who liked you, and any note they left. Safety and privacy • Melyuna is 18+ only. Date of birth is required at sign-up and checked on our servers. • Photos, messages, posts, comments and profile text go through automated moderation, and your cover photo should show your face. • Report or block from profiles, chats, posts and comments. Reporting a person also blocks them. • Optional selfie verification adds a Verified badge to your profile. • Location access is required, but your exact location is never shared. Others only see an approximate distance. • Pause your account to hide from Discover, or delete it from inside the app.
