Mela Social

A place for communities to thrive. Mela is a new kind of space for communities that value authenticity and purpose. Every community on Mela is completely its own, with its own members, its own standards and its own sense of what matters, while staying connected with the broader world. Most social apps reward whatever is loudest. Mela works the other way around: real people, engaging in real conversations, in communities that know why they exist. PURPOSE OVER POPULARITY Every community on Mela starts with its mission: a few words about what it stands for and what it hopes to achieve. Mela uses that mission to decide what rises to the top, so the contributions that move your community forward get seen, not just the ones that draw the most reactions. You decide what is important. FEEDS THAT FIT YOUR COMMUNITY Tell Mela what your community cares about, and it shapes what members see around that. As your community grows and changes, the experience grows with it. AI FOR THE COMMUNITY Mela's AI is tuned to your community's values and goals. It helps with the work of keeping a community alive: surfacing what's worth reading, keeping members up to date, and taking on tasks that move your mission forward. AWAY FROM THE CHAOS Each community sets its own standards for how members treat one another, on top of Mela's own rules. Mela helps moderators hold that line, so conversations stay thoughtful and welcoming. A PLACE TO TALK Post, reply, react and message the people in your community, one-on-one or in groups. Share what you're reading, ask questions, and pick up conversations where you left off. FOR THE PEOPLE WHO BUILD COMMUNITIES Mela is invite-only. Organizers decide who joins, what new members agree to, and who helps run things. Whether you lead a club, a nonprofit, an alumni network, a professional association or a group of friends with a shared cause, Mela gives your community a home that is truly its own. ONE ACCOUNT, MANY COMMUNITIES Belong to more than one? Move between them easily. Each keeps its own members, conversations and standards. Got an invite? Download Mela and join your community today.
